General Aftercare Principles
The first 24 to 48 hours after any brow or lash treatment are critical. During this period, the treatment is setting, and moisture, heat, and friction can compromise the result. Avoid water, sweating, steam, and direct sun exposure during this healing window.
After the initial period, ongoing care focuses on protecting the treatment from moisture, oil, and friction. Miami’s humidity means you need to be more vigilant than in drier climates, as moisture is constantly present in the air.
Microblading and Nanoblading Aftercare
After microblading or nanoblading, keep the brow area completely dry for 7 to 10 days. Avoid sweating, swimming, and direct sun. In Miami’s humidity, this can be challenging — stay in air-conditioned environments when possible and avoid outdoor exercise during the healing period.
Do not apply skincare products, makeup, or sunscreen directly on the brow area during healing. Your technician will provide a healing ointment — apply only that. Avoid picking at flaking skin, which is a normal part of the healing process.

Lash Extension Aftercare
After lash extension application, avoid water, steam, and sweating for 24 hours. In Miami’s humidity, the adhesive needs extra time to fully cure. Avoid hot showers, saunas, and outdoor exercise for the first day.
Ongoing, clean the lash line daily with an extension-safe cleanser. Avoid oil-based products, which break down the adhesive. In humid weather, extensions may need more frequent refills as the adhesive can weaken faster. Avoid rubbing your eyes and sleeping face-down.
Lash Lift Aftercare
After a lash lift, avoid water, steam, and eye makeup for 24 hours. The perm needs time to set, and moisture can cause the curl to relax prematurely. In Miami’s humidity, be especially careful during the first day.
After the initial 24 hours, you can resume normal activities. Avoid waterproof mascara, as it is difficult to remove and can stress the lifted lashes. Use a lash-conditioning product if recommended by your technician.
Brow Lamination Aftercare
After brow lamination, avoid water, sweating, and brow products for 24 hours. The chemical treatment needs time to set. In humid weather, the hairs may relax more quickly, so avoid excessive moisture for the first 48 hours.
After the initial period, use a brow conditioning product to keep the hairs soft and healthy. Avoid excessive washing and brow manipulation. The lamination effect lasts 6 to 8 weeks and can be repeated when it fades.
Exercise and Swimming
Exercise introduces sweat, which is moisture that can compromise brow and lash treatments. Avoid exercise for 24 to 48 hours after any treatment. After the initial period, sweat is less of a concern, but excessive sweating can still reduce longevity.
Swimming should be avoided for at least one week after microblading or nanoblading. For lash extensions and lifts, avoid swimming for 48 hours. Chlorine and saltwater can break down adhesives and affect the treatment.
Sun Exposure
UV exposure can fade microblading and nanoblading pigment. Wear a hat and apply sunscreen (once the brow area is fully healed) when spending time in direct sun. For lash extensions and lifts, sun exposure is less of a concern, but UV can degrade the adhesive over time.
In Miami, where sun exposure is year-round, consistent sun protection helps extend the life of your brow and lash treatments.
Product Use
Avoid oil-based skincare and makeup products near the brow and lash area. Oils break down adhesives and can affect pigments. Use water-based and extension-safe products. Your technician can recommend appropriate products.
For microblading and nanoblading, avoid exfoliating acids and retinol near the brow area, as these can accelerate pigment fading. For lash extensions, use only extension-safe cleansers and avoid waterproof mascara.
